The first edition of MPB-BPM brought the Asian
Dub Foundation to Brazil - and the contacts with
Brazilian groups that the band established during
the trip continue to thrive. After working with
Nação Zumbi and Rappa, the ADF has
collaborated with Edy Rock of Rational MCs in their
latest CD "Enemy of the Enemy". Read the

"As one Carandiru was imploded here [a reference
to the mega prison in São Paulo which has
been closed down - and which was blown up recently]
another one has been built in England. The excellent
multi-sound anglo-indu band Asian Dub Foundation
has used the infamous Brazilian prison as the theme
of the sensational track "19 Rebellions"
. The song, a rap-dub with guitars, includes the
participation of Edy Rock, one of the vocalists
form the main Brazilian hip-hop band, Racionais
MC." ...... The collaboration with Edy Rock
is one of the results of of the ADF`s tour of Brazil
in 2001, where they played in Recife and São
Paulo...
According to the band`s bass player, Dr. Das, ADF`s
Brazilian tour really reinvigorated the band. Read
