in-person activity

In this performative show, the Peruvian artist Pável Paniagua builds visual beats through the conversation between his body, objects, and darkness. Inspired by the night and electronic music, he questions the massive production of bright images in the contemporary world and their reflection on one’s identity. Using darkness as a space-time that invites to a rediscovery of personal existence, he creates a sensorial experience for the audience.
Pável Paniagua is a transdisciplinary artist born in Ayacucho (Peru). His creations converge in experimentation and reflection about the relationship between body-enigma-transformation. He was an assistant director to Pascal Rambert, Mariana De Althaus, and at Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (Peru). He worked as an interdisciplinary artistic collaborator with the Art Group Integro XO, Yvonne von Mollendorf, Pepe Hevia, and Hildy Quintanilla, and was an artist-in-residence of the incubator FAE LIMA. He recently premiered AYACÁN at the 36th Danza Nueva Festival (Peru).
