In this meeting, curators from Brazil and other countries come together with the audience to share experiences of management, projects, technologies, and dreams in their fields of work, and collectively imagine and propose concrete actions.
Gonçalo Amorim is the artistic director of Teatro Experimental do Porto and FITEI—International Festival of Theater of Iberian Expression. He attended the anthropology course of NOVA University Lisbon and has a license from the ESTC (Actors and Directors Training). He has been a collaborator and actor of Teatro o Bando since 1999 and was a member of the collective Primeiros Sintomas. As an actor, he has also worked with Útero—Associação Cultural, Companhia Olga Roriz, Cão Solteiro, Truta, Teatro da Terra, and Artistas Unidos. He worked in film with Edgar Feldman, Raquel Freire, Tiago Guedes, José Filipe Costa, and Edgar Medina. He taught at ESMAE and ESTAL. In 2007, he received the Prémio da Crítica (APCT) award for directing the show Shopping and Fucking, by Mark Ravenhill; in 2012 he received a Special Mention from the APCT for his work as a director in 2011. He has been a regular collaborator of TEP since 2010.
Marcelo Castillo has been working as a cultural manager in the public and private sectors since 1986. He is currently an international consultant for cultural management and policies and creative economy. He has been the general director of Mercado de las Artes Escénicas y la Música of Argentina since 2010 and an executive director, producer, and actor of Teatro La Cochera since 1984, taking part in more than 30 shows. He is also a professor, a project advisor, and liaison for artistic events in Latin America and has taken part in more than 350 festivals, forums, and cultural markets.
Paula Senna is a public cultural manager with a degree in journalism and a master’s degree in social science. She is the director of promotion of the arts of the Belo Horizonte Municipal Foundation for Culture/Belo Horizonte city government, responsible for managing municipal theaters, reference dance centers, and Cine Santa Tereza, in addition to the Circuito Municipal de Cultura project. She was part of the curatorial group and artistic coordination of Virada Cultural festivals in 2019, 2022, and 2023, and was the artistic director of FIT-BH 2024. She is a member of the working group for the implementation of the Aldir Blanc National Policy and the Funarte working group for the implementation of the Arts Policy.
