The actress and creator Tânia Farias draws from her collective works in public spaces to hold this great open class. The outdoor meeting, called Theater and Community Experience, invites participants to come closer and have a practical, living experience. The idea is to dance together to establish affective bonds between strangers and collectively improve their presence. Tânia is a member of Tribo de Atuadores Ói Nóis Aqui Traveiz, from Porto Alegre. The group presents Ubu Tropical [Ubu of the Tropics] at the festival and conducts investigations into street works and into a line called living experience theater (teatro de vivência, a touring performance where audience and actors are part of the same scenographic environment).
Tânia Farias is an actress, director, costume designer, set designer, researcher, professor, and theater producer. A performer with Tribo de Atuadores Ói Nóis Aqui Traveiz since 1994, she is also the coordinator of Escola de Teatro Popular da Terreira da Tribo, Festival de Teatro Popular—Jogos de Aprendizagem, and ASA—Atelier Sul de Atuação. She writes a column for the newspaper Brasil de Fato in Rio Grande do Sul and is a member of the editorial board of Cavalo Louco, the theater magazine published by Ói Nóis Aqui Traveiz, and of the imprint Ói Nóis Na Memória.
